In 2024, Refashion continued its commitment alongside local territories to develop innovative collection solutions and strengthen citizen awareness.
One year after the implementation of the Standard Agreement for Local Authorities, over 57 million residents are now covered by local awareness campaigns promoting proper sorting practices, enabling the recovery of used textiles and footwear. Refashion continued to support local authorities through an updated action catalogue, enriched with new communication tools and field initiatives.
Among the key highlights of the year was the launch of the REBOOST Call for Experiments, designed to encourage and support innovative, locally driven collection projects.
The Textile Race also continued its journey, with a new edition held in Chambéry, building on the success previously seen in the Vosges and demonstrating the strong mobilizing power of this educational and engaging school-based collection initiative.

Refashion also launched a new initiative, the Défi Refashion, in partnership with the Île-de-France Region and Emmaüs: a pilot program rolled out in several high schools across the region, combining awareness-raising, collection efforts, and creative challenges to engage young people with the issues surrounding the sorting of textiles and footwear.
Refashion also appointed regional coordinators working closely with local areas to manage relationships with municipalities and support their territorial strategies for the recovery of used textiles and footwear. The eco-organization is strengthening ties with local stakeholders and promoting the emergence of industrial and territorial ecology to support the transition toward a more circular model.
